THE TOWN OF MIDLAND
Incorporated in 1890, the Town of Midland is a beautiful waterfront community located on Georgian Bay, just 45 minutes north of Barrie. With a population of 16,864 (Statistics Canada, Census of Population, 2016), Midland is a bustling economic centre served by both Highway 12 and Highway 93 while also maintaining the charm of a traditional downtown surrounded by mature homes and ending at the picturesque Town Harbour.
Due to its ideal location, Midland boasts an extensive waterfront, both on Georgian Bay and Little Lake which provides many recreational opportunities through boating, recreational trails and waterfront parks.
Midland provides the opportunity for a year-round and well-balanced lifestyle through easy access to education and health care facilities, a thriving cultural scene and many recreation and dining options.
