Aside from cars, great service and friendly competition, what do your local automotive dealerships have in common?

They are incredible supporters of our community and a driving force for our local economy.

Together, these generous locally-owned organizations contributed more than $215,000 in charitable donations, sponsorships and community projects in 2017.  Together, they also have an incredible impact on our local economy.

“The North Simcoe automobile dealerships provide 250 jobs worth more than $12-million in wages to the area,” says Sharon Vegh, Economic Development Director for the Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe. “They are important members of our local economy; they employ local people and invest in a wide variety of community activities and projects.”

On Friday, June 15th, your local car dealerships, Bourgeois Motors, Midland Honda, Tom Smith Chevrolet, Midland Toyota and Midland Chrysler, are uniting for a common cause: local healthcare.

“It is truly inspiring to witness competitors putting their rivalry aside for the benefit of our hospital,” says Phil DeBruyne, volunteer chair of the North Simcoe Car Dealership Golf Classic.  “This is a testament to the character of our local dealers; building a strong community is paramount to each of them.”

The North Simcoe Car Dealerships Golf Classic will take place at the Midland Golf & Country Club, with all proceeds going to the purchase of critically important equipment and technology for Georgian Bay General Hospital.  Thanks to the leadership of the dealer principals, the tournament sold out months before the event, with expected net revenues of more than $30,000.
