Renewed, Refreshed and the New Rural
Robin Jones is the Mayor of the Village of Westport, the Chair of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association, and the Associations of Municipalities of Ontario Rural Caucus Member. The Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) is the rural arm of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO). ROMA will present research findings on Opportunities for Rural Ontario in a Post-Covid World as part of the third and final Teeny Tiny Summit webinar in this series. ROMA takes pride in promoting, supporting and enhancing strong and effective rural governments.
The program will also include success stories from small places throughout the province, and opportunities to share and learn from other community leaders. Much of the content is focused on what can be accomplished by volunteers working together with municipalities. In small places, volunteers are a critical part of economic development. Many of the presenters and participants are volunteers.
The Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) has committed to multi-year support of the Teeny Tiny program allowing high quality keynote speakers to be secured for this year’s webinars, including them presenting their research on “Opportunities for Rural Ontario in a Post-Covid world”.
