Township of Tiny “Self-Guided” Farm Crawl
What is a Farm Crawl?
A farm crawl is a chance to take a scenic tour of our region and purchase goods directly from local farmers and growers! You can visit 8 different farms and the farmers will share their unique perspective on agriculture and its viability. You will hear about the importance of local food and its economic impact on the region. The Farm Crawl provides you with the chance to explore the beauty of North Simcoe while supporting local growers and farmers.
In 2018, the Township of Tiny hosted its first Farm Crawl event in partnership with local farms located within the area. This event was such a success, that in 2019, two farm crawls were held (August and October) In 2020 and due to COVID restrictions, the Township of Tiny released a Farm Crawl Video series. The project featured ten short videos, giving viewers a glimpse of farm life in our region.
The Township of Tiny is an agricultural community and applauds farmers for being the backbone of the local economy.
What is a “self-guided” Farm Crawl?
This year’s Farm Crawl is self-guided where participants can visit participating farms at their leisure and in the comfort of their own vehicle. The event begins at 10:00am and runs until 3:00pm. Lunch will be available for pick up at Farm2Door (159 Balm Beach Road East) and includes vegan or meat options (to be selected at registration).
Please Note that:
- Pets are not permitted on event day – service animals only.
- The event is rain or shine. Refunds will not be issued due to poor weather.
- It is important to dress for the weather. (i.e. rain gear, rubber boots). If there is an extreme weather warning (i.e. tornado), the event will be cancelled and full refunds will be issued.
- Parking is not guaranteed at farm locations (due to capacity limits). Driving to another farm may be required until spaces open up.
