The Ontario government will be investing $175 million to help hospitals across the province maintain their infrastructure and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients to receive care.

Hospitals in Midland, Orillia and Penetanguishene will receive a combined $4.2 million to help address needed upgrades, urgent repairs and maintenance needs.

Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital will receive $2 million, Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland will get almost $1.6 million and Penetanguishene’s Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care will receive about $600,000.

“These investments will help ensure that patients in Midland and across Ontario can receive the care they need in a safe and comfortable setting,” said Jill Dunlop, MPP for Simcoe North.
