Darcy Campbell has turned her family farm in Victoria Harbour into a thriving home business.

The pastry chef and owner of Campbell’s Country Emporium is selling her homemade baking, jams, preserves, honey and maple syrup at First Light near Midland and at many Christmas fairs.

For the past six years, she has been growing the business and adding products. This is the third year she has been selling honey after getting trained by Paul Turner of Turnview Farms.

“I’m the only one in the family that’s brave enough to get stuff. The bee keeping is something I really enjoy,” said Campbell.

The family of five also has a small maple bush and everyone chips in when the sap is running come spring.
