Town of Midland announces hiring of new Chief Administrative Officer

The Town of Midland is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). David Denault, a distinguished senior executive with both public and private sector experience, will join the Town as its new CAO.

“After a thorough recruitment process, Council is extremely happy with this result,” said Mayor Stewart Strathearn. “David brings a breadth of talent and experience to the Town of Midland, and we are excited to have him on board to lead our Administration.”

Before joining the Town, David, a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and the Ivey Business School, most recently served as Associate Deputy Minister and CEO of ServiceOntario, one of the largest public service organizations in Canada. Before that, he was with AT&T for over 15 years, the last 10 serving as President of Global Services Canada and Executive Director of Global Operations Strategy.

Originally from Iroquois Falls, Ontario, David will take over the position from Interim CAO, Amanpreet Sidhu, who will resume his role as Executive Director of Corporate Services and Town Solicitor. Amanpreet has served in this role since the start of the year, when former CAO John Skorobohacz retired.

“To bring someone on board with David’s background is a real win for the Town of Midland,” said Amanpreet Sidhu, Interim CAO. “Town Administration is excited to have him join the team and we are looking forward to working with him as he leads us into the future.”

David will begin work with the Town of Midland on Monday, April 20, 2020.
