Café Kittyhawk opens in former Larder and Pantry in Penetanguishene

What do you call it when you walk into a coffee shop and feel like you’ve been there before? Déja-brew. Café Kittyhawk opened on July 4 in the former Larder and Pantry’s 4 Robert Street West location. “People are so excited there is a café again in Penetanguishene,” said general manager Matt Schaap.

Larder and Pantry closed its doors on March 10, right before the coronavirus pandemic took hold. Schaap was among the employees laid off.

Now he’s back at Café Kittyhawk, owned by Justin McIntaggart, of History Barbershop, and Kate Hartberg. []
