Last year, the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka witnessed the success of several employers as many of their employees received training funded by the Canada-Ontario Job Grant.
Some employers were able to guarantee their seasonal workers full-time and year-round employment. Many employers had more qualified employees, ultimately leading to better performance.

Canada-Ontario Job Grant Information
This Grant can be used for any type of training. Applications have been approved for training in the following areas: Heavy Equipment Operator, AZ/DZ driver license, HVAC Co-Op (Gas Technician 2 and 3), Personal Support Worker, Leadership and Management, Sales Performance and more.
This Grant covers 50% to 100% of the total cost of the training provided by an approved third-party training provider and up to $10,000 per employee and $15,000 per new hire!
Funding is limited, we encourage you to apply for this grant as soon as possible.
