Food Venture Program

Interested in diversifying your farm business, adding a product or creating a new product?

Simcoe County is partnering with the Counties of Grey and Bruce along with the Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre to run a Farm to Retail 11-Week Workshop starting on October 28, 2021.  The Workshop will help farmers take an idea and understand the process of developing it from ideology to finished product.  The Workshop looks at health requirements, financing, consumer intelligence and more.

The program is being organized and run by the Food Venture Program, who have worked on similar programs throughout Ontario.  There will be a total of 21 places available (7 for each county).  Applicants will have to apply to attend the program and a judging panel made up of the 4 CFDCs in Simcoe County will determine who from Simcoe County will participate.  Promotional materials will be following shortly.
