Township of Tiny launches new Cloudpermit System for building applications

The Township of Tiny is pleased to announce the launch of its Cloudpermit System. The system provides the public with an enhanced digital experience for building permit submissions to the Township.

The Cloudpermit building permit system allows residents, builders, and businesses to apply for and to see the status of an application from anywhere, at any time. Users can start an application and finish it later, receive email updates on the status of their permit application, maintain digital records of permit documents, have inspection results sent directly by e-mail, and track applications online.

Cloudpermit is an online software solution for community development. As a simple and smart software solution, Cloudpermit will allow the Township to pursue online land management processes for building permitting and planning. Managing building permits electronically will increase efficiency, streamline approvals, and ensure that the Township captures new assessments in a timely manner.

“We’ve seen a steep increase in the number of building permits submitted to the Township, especially over the past two years,” said Joceline Roi-Pattison, Chief Building Official. “The Cloudpermit system will greatly benefit the Township with faster permit processing as well as encouraging standardization for improved efficiency across the Planning and Development Department within the organization. Our traditional paper-based applications will also continue. Cloudpermit will add a significant level of convenience for the public and staff to conduct timely business with the Department.”

“A digital solution allows the public to efficiently and easily find and share information,” stated Mayor George Cornell. “This is one more way Tiny is streamlining and digitizing our processes to provide residents with a more user-friendly experience that keeps the information available right at their fingertips”

Members of the public are encouraged to access the system by going to the Township’s website at www.tiny.ca.
